Christian Therapy in Ohio:
Online Faith-Based Counseling for Women
Maybe you’re living in the bustling heart of Columbus, navigating the daily noise and movement of city life. Or perhaps you’re raising your family in the growing suburbs of Cincinnati, where the neighborhoods are expanding as fast as your to-do list. Maybe you’re tucked away in the peaceful stretches of rural Ohio—near Amish Country or nestled in the rolling hills down south—where life moves slower, but finding quality Christian counseling still feels just out of reach.
Or maybe you’re near Toledo, like me, wearing all the hats—woman, mother, wife, professional, servant of Christ—balancing carpools, meetings, meal prep, ministry, and the hidden battles of anxiety or exhaustion that no one else can see. Perhaps you’re faithfully leading in ministry in Akron or Cleveland, offering hope to others while quietly wondering who’s helping you.
Wherever you are in Ohio—city, suburb, or countryside—you don't have to walk through it alone.
You don’t have to drive hours or rearrange your entire life just to find someone who understands both your faith and your struggles.
There is hope—and it can meet you right where you are.
Through online Christian therapy, you can experience support, healing, and practical help, all rooted in Biblical truth, clinical expertise, and deep compassion.
Why Christian Therapy Matters
Your faith isn’t just one part of your life—it’s the lens through which you see everything. It shapes how you love, parent, serve, carry burdens, and how you hope. When challenges come, you don’t just want advice that sounds good—you want counsel that’s anchored in God’s truth.
Maybe you’ve tried secular therapy before and left feeling misunderstood—or felt like you had to filter parts of yourself to fit in. Maybe you’ve shared prayer requests in small groups but felt like your deeper emotional wounds remained unseen. Or maybe you’ve been quietly pushing through, telling yourself, "God is enough for me," but still feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, or heartbreak.
If that sounds familiar, hear this clearly:
Seeking therapy is not a sign of weak faith.
It’s a step of brave obedience—choosing to walk toward healing with the tools God has made available to you. Therapy rooted in biblical truth, paired with sound clinical practices, becomes a place where real transformation happens. Where your faith is strengthened, not sidelined. Where your heart finds both the grace to heal and the courage to grow.
Meeting You Where You Are
Online Christian Therapy in Ohio
The beauty of online therapy is that it meets you right in the middle of your real life.
No more sitting in traffic on I-270 around Columbus, frazzled before you even arrive at your appointment. No more arranging childcare in rural Pike County just to see a counselor an hour away. No more feeling like therapy is just “one more thing” crammed into your already overflowing calendar.
With online Christian therapy, you can:
Log in from the comfort of your living room, your office, or even your parked car after work.
Meet consistently with a therapist who shares your faith and values—without geographical barriers.
Protect your privacy, flexibility, and sense of safety.
Sessions are held through secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms, designed to give you the same quality of care you’d expect in person—but with more ease, convenience, and flexibility for your busy life.
Healing shouldn’t feel like another burden. It should feel like stepping into freedom.

Therapy Services for Ohio Women of Faith
Whether you're wrestling with old wounds, battling anxiety, or feeling the heavy exhaustion of ministry life, Christian therapy can meet you exactly where you are.
Trauma
Trauma changes everything—how you think, trust, love, even how you view God. But trauma doesn't get the final word.
Through specialized approaches like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma-Focused CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), we can work together to process the painful experiences you’ve carried and gently move them out of the hidden places of your mind and heart.
In therapy, you’ll learn how to:
Gently process painful memories in a safe, supportive, and faith-anchored environment
Understand how trauma has shaped your thoughts, emotions, and relationships
Reconnect with your sense of identity, purpose, and worth as a beloved daughter of God
Develop tools to calm your nervous system and build emotional resilience
Release shame and begin to rewrite your story with truth, grace, and hope
Maybe you're carrying wounds from childhood—abuse, neglect, emotional invalidation. Maybe your trauma stems from betrayal, loss, toxic relationships, or painful experiences within the church. Wherever your story begins, healing is possible. God’s love, combined with intentional therapeutic work, can redeem what feels broken.
Anxiety
Anxiety doesn’t just stay in your thoughts—it weaves its way into your relationships, your decisions, your sleep, your ability to find peace.
Maybe you find yourself constantly overthinking. Maybe your mind replays worst-case scenarios late into the night. Maybe you’re burdened by an invisible pressure to perform—to be “good enough”—even though you know, deep down, that God’s grace is sufficient.
In therapy, you’ll learn how to:
Understand the root causes of your anxiety
Reframe anxious thoughts through Biblical truth
Build emotional resilience and healthy coping strategies
Anchor your identity in Christ instead of fear or perfectionism
Freedom is possible. You don’t have to live trapped by anxious cycles anymore.
Women in Ministry
If you're serving in ministry, you know how lonely leadership can feel. You pour out encouragement, hope, and prayer for others—but often struggle to find space for your own needs.
In therapy, you’ll find:
A confidential space where you don’t have to have it all together
Support for navigating burnout and emotional fatigue
Tools for setting healthy boundaries without guilt
Encouragement to reconnect with your own identity in Christ—not just your ministry role
Even Jesus withdrew to quiet places for restoration. You are allowed to do the same.
Is Online Therapy Really Effective?
Yes—research shows online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for conditions like anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, and more.
In fact, many women find online therapy to be even more effective for their lifestyles:
You’re in your own familiar environment
Sessions are easier to attend consistently
Vulnerability comes more naturally when you’re in a controlled, comfortable space
Healing doesn’t happen because of the walls of a counseling office. It happens through connection, safety, clinical skill—and the work of the Holy Spirit. And that can happen wherever you are.

FAQs
Do I have to be a specific denomination to receive Christian counseling?
No. I work with women from a wide range of Christian backgrounds. Our shared foundation is Christ—and you’re welcome here, no matter your denominational background. During our work I commit to keeping your beliefs at the center of our work.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
That depends on your goals and your unique story. Some women come for just a few months to work through a specific struggle; others stay longer to unpack deeper wounds or walk through ongoing seasons of growth. We’ll check in regularly to make sure you’re feeling supported and making progress that aligns with your needs and your faith journey.
I’m not sure I’m ready. What if I just want to talk first?
That’s what the free consultation is for! There’s no pressure. Just a simple, no-commitment way to ask your questions and see how this could work for you. During your consultation I will answer any questions you have and further share about how I work in the therapy space and what you can expect from me during our time together.
What if I’ve been hurt by the church or have religious trauma? Can I still come to Christian therapy?
Yes, absolutely. Many of the women I work with have experienced spiritual wounds or confusion due to unhealthy church dynamics or harmful religious messages. This is a safe space to explore those experiences without judgment. Together, we can untangle the pain from the truth of who God really is—loving, patient, and full of grace, and wisdom.
Can I use insurance for online therapy?
At this time, I offer private pay sessions. This allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and faith-based integration that insurance often limits. You have the option to receive a document called a “Superbill” each month to submit to your insurance for Out of Network reimbursement.
I have a really busy schedule. Can our sessions work with my current commitments?
Yes! I offer available sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. We’ll find a consistent weekly or bi-weekly time that works for you. Having a predictable, standing appointment helps make therapy easier to plan around—especially when life is already full. Since sessions are online, you also save time on travel and can meet from anywhere with privacy and internet access.
